When are the people of Troy going to wake up. I have lived in Troy for 14 years, my children have never lived nor gone to school here. Truth be known I'd never send them to Troy schools. We went from no school tax to the highest tax rate possible, were promised by the school board that if the tax passed then the levis would be allowed to expire because we wouldn't need them. The tax passed, haven't you noticed the extra money bleeding out of your check every week. And the school has ask for and gotten voter approval to renew everyone that was due to expire.
What happened to letting them expire? When I was in school we were taught that lying was wrong but I guess if the sholl board is lying it's considered ok. I went to McDonalds for breakfast the other morning and the young man, recent grad of Troy high, had trouble making change for a $5. What are they teaching in schools these days? I know they promote sports real high because of the furior when that senior beat up the handy capped student and they wanted to sweep it under the rug. Nice things to teach children today.
I think taxes are neccessary but only if the education is worth it. The tax abatements are unneccessary since we all pay the tax. |
