Did anyone see David Fong's TDN column this week?
He is right on the money! Autism must put an extreme amount of stress on a family. Health insurance should pay fully for medical care related to Autism. The same is true of mental illnesses. A family should not be devastated financially just because they are hit with any illness!
And there should be no stigma associated with any illness. Families hit with these problems don't need ignorant people looking down their noses at them and "clucking" when they see a child misbehaving in public, for example. A little understanding and help would be appreciated.
