SURPRISE 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
for
ALBERTHA HALL
May 20, 2002

Friends of Albertha Hall pulled off a successful surprise party for her on the afternoon of her 60th birthday. The event took place at the Covington Care Center where Mrs. Hall is the dietitian. The Guest of Honor was taken out to lunch by a co-worker, while the party was quickly set up in the Covington Care Center Activities Room.

The theme was "Vegetables and Fruit" and was reflected in the gifts, napkins, green lime punch, and the carrot (carat!) birthday cake complete with 60 candles carefully placed in fresh carrot holders.

At 1 PM, the table was ready and the look-out (R) was stationed at her post by the door.

No sign of the Guest of Honor!
Where was she?

At last, she was back from lunch, and after being called on the loud speaker down to the Activities Director's office (for a made-up reason), Albertha arrived at her surprise party. And she was very surprised, to say the least!
