"America's Tenor" | | Miami County had the very great pleasure of presenting "America's Tenor," Daniel Rodriguez, in concert at the Bicentennial Celebration. Mr. Roderiguez performed at the Grandstand on Sunday, July 8, much to the great pleasure of those who came to hear this "singing policeman," the New York City cop who inspired us all after the September 11 attacks with his beautiful rendition of "God Bless America."
On Sunday, Mr. Roderiguez gave his own concert and also appeared with the Miami County Children's Choir singing "God Bless America." Later in the afternoon, he joined the group Rum River Blend in the Entertainment Tent for a few lively numbers which delighted the audience there.
