The Miami County Regiments
On Sunday, August 15, the Museum of Troy History will host a program entitled “The Miami County Regiments” as part of its ongoing series on the Civil War as Miami County experienced it. Rex Maggert will discuss the 147th, Martin Stewart the 71st, Brian Sutton the 94th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiments and Paul Sarber will discuss the 55th Massachusetts, which contained black volunteers from Miami County. Steve Skinner will discuss Sherman’s army. The program will start at 2:30 PM and will feature a question and answer session. Refreshments will be served after the presentations.
